Friday,

this will be short and sweet as I am late doing it and other pressing things to be done as well as work. With no G string this week, marshall Adrian Mudge (mudgey) offered his services and was picked up on Thursday night and we started the long drive up.
After the times I had done last September was really looking forward to this meeting and kick starting my season so to speak when we arrive at Doune we remove g/box and clean clutch and change ratios

Saturday

We awake to pouring rain something I had not even thought about as the weather forecasts I had looked at said it was going to be hot and sunny, not wet and miserable. We manage one run on slicks and post 5th quickest practice.

Sunday

Weather no better and our Sunday practice is on intermediates but the heavens still aren't finished yet and we have another downpour at least we don't have to worry about tyre choice.

Its wets all round and I am kicking myself for not making the most of wet practice on Saturday....

We qualify 7th for 1st run off and finish 7th. Second timed run qualify 4th and post an improvement to 43.38 and 5th, I am slightly down as 10pts is woefully short of my standards I set myself, we pack up in the rain, then shower and bar meal at Woodside before long drive back to base.

When you see the weather that every other place in the UK had for this weekend you just can't believe it rained and I really was not prepared for this wet meeting, so 10pts is better than none.
