I turned up at Guernsey on Saturday because dad decided to surprise the electric chair with a cheap £73 ferry trip for all three of us.  I think it sounded a good idea but if I remember last year we did a day trip to Guernsey and said we would never do it again.  But yet again the electric chair turned up at the Guernsey hill climb.  The day started at 4.30am and finished at 2.30am the next day.

On the way home on the ferry we had mad Baz Pitt on the ferry but we didn’t catch sight of him.  The reason why he was on the ferry on Saturday evening was because he was going to Gurston hill climb to contest the club meeting, which as you know starts at 8.30.  mad or what!!  I must say well done Baz for pulling off yet another Gurston win.  Well worth the late trip back.

Well done to young Mr Moran for yet another solid weekend and a very well done to top of Shelsley Walsh resident Simon Durling for his first ever British Championship win in Jersey.  Also I must not to forget Scotties solid weekend included a record breaking run up Guernsey.  Bad luck to Simon Durling for not getting a good result in Guernsey.

It was another disappointing weekend for the moose machine with a clout into the bank at the top of the hill at Guernsey.  Could it be because he wants to get his first British win on his own home track?  Hope to see him out next weekend.

Bad luck Colin for your engine blowing up and I hope you get it fixed soon and it doesn’t cost too much.  You gave my dad and Richard a fright as they thought you had a crash.

I think that that Turbo Toet is due to be out at Wiscombe next week and Ireland the week after, but we will have to wait and see.

I am really looking forward to Wiscombe because it is my favourite hillclimb.  I love the late braking into Martini ( for Mcb666 that is the last corner).

Whilst Deryk Young was at Guernsey his wife Sue got FTD at the Shelsley club event in the ex-Wight Gould.  So that is where the car was.

See you next weekend at Wiscombe, I hope to turn up Friday afternoon.

Nick
